You Gotta Focus Momma!!

In today's society it's so easy to become distracted from your goals. I've spent so much time on everything but my goals. I found myself scrolling through social media for hours, binge-watching shows on Netflix, daydreaming, etc. I decided to make time on Sunday to sit and think. I utilize that time to reflect on the previous week and determine where I need to make adjustments. Well today I realized that I've been identifying areas that need adjustments but haven't made any. I somehow managed to go 6 months and make minimal progress towards my yearly goal list and that wasn't sitting right with me.

I decided I needed a new course of action. First thing first was to write down my remaining goals. I had to figure out a system to get back on track and to get organized overall. Thank goodness for the internet, so many free gems if you take the time and research. Here’s my take away.


 

Tips For Getting & Staying Focused


  1. You have to eliminate distractions which leads to number 2.

  2. Take a break from social media (cut down scrolling or remove apps from your Home Screen).

  3. Make time to work on your goals.

  4. Get a planner to organize your time.

  5. Set shorter goal marks.

  6. Create a progress monitoring system.

  7. Get enough sleep! ( your body and brain do not function properly if you do not get enough rest to refuel your body).

  8. Stick to deadlines you create.

  9. Solicit an accountability partner (this should be someone who will call you on your bs when you don’t get things done).

  10. Start now! (Don’t put it off anymore, you can do it)


 

If you needed a sign this was it. Get to work momma! You got shit to do!
