How to avoid the holiday shopping frenzy with this one tip!

Well folks we are slowly approaching the last quarter of the year, and you know what that means. It’s time to get ready for the holidays. I don’t know about you but I have a large family, so my list gets pretty long. Being the product of a single parent home means I have 3 sets of family. My moms side, my dad’s side and my step-mother’s side. Let’s just say gifting can be expensive.

Start Shopping Early!

Beginning your holiday shopping a few months ahead of time, allows you to take your time and get the perfect gift. Not to mention beginning early allows for you to enjoy the gift giving process and avoid all the stress of the holiday rush. I mean who really likes waiting in lines? There are just a few requirements to ensure this goes off without a hitch:

1. Decide on your budget.

2. Know who you're shopping for.

3. Limit buying items that are size specific.

4. Purchase items for small children last.

Deciding on a budget is super important and should be done realistically. The holiday season is about much more than gift giving, so you shouldn’t be breaking the bank to give gifts. Let’s keep it real, you’ve probably gotten your fair share of crappy gifts after you purchased something expensive, so be smart.

Having a list is super important but knowing the person and their taste is essential to ensuring you save money. Let’s just say shopping for grandma or your boo should be easy. Don’t guess, know what they like to avoid returns or all out crappy gifts. This way everybody wins sis!

Linda honey listen! Do not buy size specific items early. Buying items that could possibly need to be returned is not the business because you started early There is nothing worse than a gift that can’t be returned because you have passed the return period. This is where the gift card hack comes in. If you want to spread out your shopping but not sure on what to get, then purchase gift cards. Let’s say grandma is budgeted for $100 for her gift. You will go and purchase a $100 gift card and save it to purchase the gift later. I know near idea right? You can thank me later.

Last but not least, almost to the home stretch. Small children should be saved for last. Most of the time you have to consult with parents to determine clothing sizes or current toy interests. I’m addition, let’s just keep it real, getting a necessity is way better than a toy the parents will hide because it makes noise.

These are just a few tips to avoid the holiday frenzy. I hope you found them helpful. Drop me a message or hit me on my social media pages and let me know if you found it useful.

Peace and love y’all
